What is ArtsFest?
This is a festival organized by the Conway Alliance for the Arts (CAFTA) a local arts non-profit made up of diverse community members and organizations. Many members (orgs & groups) from CAFTA work in partnership with individuals and local business to put together an action pack week of arts and culture events at venues across the city.
The final weekend of the festivities culminates with events in Downtown Conway. This year Friday night will be titled “Get Lit” filled with music, art, light and all sorts of stuff to make downtown the only place to be September 28. Then on Saturday we’ll top things off with a day when families and our younger artists take center stage at Simon Park with performances by local groups already well in the works. A juried show will take place in the vendor area where you’ll have an opportunity to support local artists and take home some amazing works. Or sign up to have your work in the show, there will be a cash prize for the winner. More details on all this and so much more are on the way – so please keep your eyes and ears open for ArtsFest.
