One of my favorite bands called CloverBlue (www.CloverBlue.com) is going to the IBC (International Blues Competition) Jan 31 at Beale St in Memphis, Tennessee after winning the 2011 SCBS (Spa City Blues Society) competition.  As always they did an OUTSTANDING job getting their blues on to say the least.  I’m VERY proud of CloverBlue and I had a blast doing a comedy set and hosting the event at Parrot Beach.   All of the proceeds from the show went to help cover some of CloverBlue expenses to IBC.  I fully believe that CloverBlue will represent Arkansas very well and they will come back as winners.  More about this event will be in Revel Magazine (www.RevelAtConway.com).

It was AWESOME to see friends there and meeting new friends as well.  There were bands supporting bands and many more.  It was interesting to see the folks faces that weren’t expecting comedy that night and even better when they joined the fire circle outside as they laughed and repeated some of the jokes that I told them earlier.  I always enjoy supporting local bands, other arts, and charities here in our great state of Arkansas.

If you haven’t heard CloverBlue, then you really really really need to.  Some of their music will be part of Doc’s Group Therapy (www.DocsGroupTherapy.com) in February.  They are also the band that will be putting together the Doc’s Group Therapy intro / song track.  Too AWESOME!

Parrot Beach Café has some serious history including comedy shows, open jams, bands, karaoke, food, drinks, and much more.  You should visit them when you can and tell them that Doc sent you.  Parrot Beach Café – 9611 Mac Arthur Dr · North Little Rock, Arkansas · 72118.

Great times to say the least…

You can look for this and other stuff in my column called Doc’s Spot in Revel Magazine in one of the next editions.  I’ll add the information to the blog after Revel hit’s the shelves and on the net.

See you at the next event in February.
