Out of the blue, I was booked to perform as the opener / feature for Roy Wood Jr. (http://www.roywoodjr.com) from the TBS hit comedy series called Sullivan and Son.  Roy has been seen on David Letterman, Craig Fergusson, Conan O’Brien, HBO, Comedy Central, and much more.  This comedy show was at the Jack Stephens Spine Center Auditorium for the UAMS Students and Staff (http://www.uams.edu/).

Hitting the stage at a hospital and having a stage name of Michael Doc Davis / Doc the Comedian was ironically hilarious to me.  I had a blast delivering some hospital type humor along with local observational and a bit of improvisational comedy.  The students and staff started out quiet as if I was a professor or something and quickly warmed up and were GREAT.   It was really good to see and hear the students and staff laughing and enjoying a break from the grind of work or studying.  That auditorium was awesome and by the way, the ladies there were beautiful.  I may just have to get sick so that I can see them again.  Roy then took the stage and brought the laughter to an even higher level with some crazy stuff, witty, and even charming comedy.  He is one awesome dude and even more awesome (Doctionary Term) to work with.  You need to check out his website for all of the prank call stuff he does along with some sample comedy and booking information.

The people, food, and feedback after the show were absolutely great.  I am so glad to help ‘Laughter is the Best Medicine’ a reality for the night.  Many photos were taken and will be uploaded as soon they are available.

I really enjoyed performing for such great people and please remember if you have to cut me open in the future, just remember I never said anything bad towards anyone and stuff.  I look forward to working with UAMS on future shows and I’m ready to bring on more laughs.

Thank you all for such great support!
